On Tuesday evening, our Farsley group headed out around Sunny Bank Mills for a phone photography walk with the brilliant Elaine and Louise from Yorkshire Phone Photography.

They helped us unlock some of the features hiding in our phones, from basic settings that many of us didn’t even know were there, to simple techniques for improving composition and getting more creative with the photos we take.

What made the evening so lovely was that it didn’t matter how confident you were behind the camera. There was something to learn whether you were starting from scratch or already taking photos regularly and wanted to improve.

All while exploring our local area, chatting, experimenting and spending time with a brilliant group of women.

A huge thank you to Elaine and Louise @yorkshirephonephotography for such a fun and useful evening, and to everyone who joined us around Farsley.

We’re kicking off the new Autumn term with our first meeting at our new home, The Crescent in Ilkley, on Monday 19th October. 💫

We’re going back to basics and focusing on what networking is really all about — meeting people, starting conversations and making genuine connections.

Bring your business cards, flyers, freebies or anything else you’d like to share that could help spark a conversation. We’ll have a table set up where you can pop your bits and pieces for people to browse.

Join us for a slightly different networking morning at Ananda Yoga & Lifestyle Studio. A chance to connect with others while also taking some much-needed time for yourself.

We’ll begin with a deeply relaxing 25-minute Yoga Nidra, allowing you to pause, settle your mind and completely switch off. No yoga experience is needed, you’ll simply lie down, get comfortable and be guided through the practice.

Feeling rested and refreshed, we’ll then enjoy an open and supportive conversation about the challenges autumn can bring, how we can prepare ourselves for winter, and why slowing down and protecting our energy becomes especially important during the colder months.

Come along to rest, reflect, share ideas and make meaningful connections in a warm and welcoming space.

What could you capture when you start looking at your surroundings a little differently?

This footage is from a recent Yorkshire Phone Photography walk at Golden Acre Park, and next Tuesday, they’re bringing the experience to Farsley.

Elaine and Louise from @yorkshirephonephotography will be joining Inspire & Connect to help us get more from the cameras we already have in our pockets, sharing simple ways to take better photos and feel more confident behind the camera.

For anyone running a business and constantly needing fresh content, there’ll be plenty of tips to take away and put into practice. Plus, we’ll be doing it while exploring Farsley and connecting with other women in business along the way.

Our Charity of the Year @principletrustcc

Kerry is a member of our networking group and every time we talk to her about the INCREDIBLE work that the Principle Trust do, we are simply blow away.

We’ll be raising some extra fund for this amazing local charity on Monday via a raffle!

Our exciting raffle price is an over night stay and breakfast PLUS a £50 voucher for dinner in collaboration with @bistrotpierreilkley @thecrescentilkley who have very kindly donated this prize.

A little about the Principle Trust

Based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity exists to support some of Yorkshire’s most vulnerable children and their families by providing free, week-long respite breaks in our fully equipped respite homes.

We work with families facing incredibly difficult circumstances — including mental health challenges, complex medical conditions, disabilities, trauma, abuse bereavement and financial hardship. For many, a holiday is simply out of reach. That’s where we step in.

Our aim is simple but powerful: to provide a safe, welcoming space where families can escape daily pressures, rest, reconnect and make memories that last.
